Thanksgiving Thursday: Week 2 Updates
Celebrating A Sustained Success
Despite it being two weeks since we last posted a video on
YouTube, something I definitely need to correct, I am proud that we have maintained
page 1 ranking for Google using the keywords Project Fed Nigeria.
I believe this is due to the name of our YouTube Channel
being Project FED Nigeria. I am going to test a few things out to see whether I
am right about that, but if that is the case it is extremely helpful information
to know as it will help us moving forward.
Celebrating Support
Last week, I honored our Chief Financial Officer, Rita
Larrivee. While we don’t yet have any finances to manage, just knowing that she
is ready to step up and handle the task when the time comes frees me to focus
on the marketing side of things.
This week, I want to honor our Chief Operations Officer and the man who inspired Project FED’s existence: Father Lucas Ogbonn. This is a dangerous time to be a Catholic priest in Nigeria. Every day they are kidnapped, beaten, and killed while working to serve their parishioners and the people in the villages around them by members of Boko Haram.
He is willing to brave the dangers and go out to deliver the
supplies and materials the nuns need in order to provide food and education for
the children. He helps them raise the funds they need to keep providing secure
dwellings for the children. Without his tireless dedication, Project FED would
not be possible. If you’re reading this blog, please pray for him and for all
those serving on the front lines a people who are facing great danger for thesake of Christ.
Celebrating Progress
This week, our email list doubled in size. Yes, that
technically means there are only two people on it, not including me, but it is
still progress and we honor that. Our goal is to double that progress by next
week.
Views of our blog have gone from 0 readers when we started
to over 133. Also, our posts have gone from single-digit views during our first
week to consistent double-digit views this past week. Thank you to everyone who
has taken the time to read our posts. It means a great deal to us.
Looking Forward
We are continuing to learn better ways to market and promote
our products and our blog, and we’re going to be sharing those with you in the
week to come. While we are still a long way from our target goal of $333 a day,
we are making progress and we are so grateful for the progress we’ve made.
Keep the Celebration Going
Join Project FED and help us continue the celebration.
