Wealth Building Wednesday: 5 Creative Wealth Building Strategies

Every Wednesday, we talk about strategies for building wealth and today, we’re going to talk about creative strategies for wealth building that anyone can use to start building wealth no matter how little they have when they start.

1.  Start Where You Are

Tonya Todd is an actress and an author I met a few years ago at a writers conference where I was speaking. She started a blog about the topic of Love because she wanted to get herself in the habit of engaging more with her audience. That blog was the beginning of the 52 Love Podcast: 52 lessons about love in 52 weeks.

2.  Start with What You Have

When she first started, it was just a blog. Later, she upgraded to a podcast with a webcam, microphone, and computer using her blog content as the inspiration for the podcast interviews. That was enough. She set out to make a difference in her own life and the lives of others with no idea where that journey was going to take her.

3. Connect To Community

One thing Tonya was really good at was connecting to communities around her. She was a member of the Henderson Writers Group and several other communities, and because of her support for those communities, they were willing to help promote her podcast.

4. Pool Your Resources

What Tonya lacked, she reached out to members of the community to help her supply in exchange for providing them with promotional exposure. She looked for people who had developed relationships based on love and invited them to follow the tips in the blog and report their results on her podcast. This made it easier for the guests to have something solid to discuss when the time came for their appearance.

5. Participate in Opportunities

When Tonya needed guests for her latest episode of the podcast, she reached out to me and asked for help. Randy and I took advantage of the opportunity for promotional exposure. You can listen in on our interview with Tonya on YouTube.

Creativity and Cooperation Are the Keys

Whatever resource you lack in life, someone out there has in abundance. Creativity and cooperation are the keys to getting what you need. Partnering up with others will get you further ahead than trying to go it alone.
