Friday Freebies: The Better Blogs Toolkit

Today I promised that I would be providing you with some extra special freebies, and so I am. Way back on the first Friday Freebies, I gave you a list of the first five tools you needed to start making money online.

On that list was Blogger, Google’s free blogging platform. I explained that the reason I recommended it was because Google owns it and will promote your blog above other blogs if you use it. However, I didn’t give you any tools or tips to help you start taking advantage of that blog.

Introducing the Better Blog Toolkit

That’s what today’s post is going to do. I’m going to give you 5 free tools to help you get your blog going and write blog posts that people will enjoy reading.

1.      The 8 Question Blog Outline

This is an 8-question format that I use to put together my blogs. I also use it to write full-length novels and non-fiction books.  It’s designed to lead your reader through the “hero’s journey” from needing a solution to finding it and overcoming the obstacles to implementing it in order to get the results they desire.

2.      The 8 Stages of the Affiliate Buyer’s Journey

When you’re planning your blog posting schedule, it helps if you can keep in mind the 8 stages of the Affiliate Buyer’s journey. You want to be sure that you have blog posts that are addressed to every stage of that journey. Set aside 1 day a week for each of the first 7 stages of the journey and periodically introduce posts that address the 8th stage.

3.      The Sample Blog Post Outline

Just having the 8 questions in front of you can help, but seeing how I put them in action can also be useful. That’s why I filled it out and am including it in the tool kit. Where you see my => Fairytale Marketing, that’s where I had an idea about something to offer to my audience that contains some of the research I’d done into this subject.

4.      A Blog Planner

Having the Buyer’s Journey in front of you is great, but having a blog planner to go with it is even better. Feel free to adjust the content to reflect the kind of buyers you want to attract.

5.      A Copy of Fairytale Marketing

This is a short ebook that I wrote to help you understand the power of storytelling in moving people toward purchasing.

These Are Tools I Wish I’d Had When I First Started Out

When I was building my business, I WISH I’d had access to these tools. I am confident they will help you write better blogs, attract the kind of people you want to serve, and will position you for future success.

Want the Editable Copy of the Blog Planner?

I don’t want to set up the blog planner on my Google drive to be editable because that would ruin it for others, but if you sign up for my email list, I’ll be happy to send you a copy. Just be sure to put in there that you’re interested in the marketing training and I’ll be sure to add a free guide to Facebook marketing as well.

Comments? Questions? Suggestions? Experiences?

Let me know. I’d love to hear from you.
